PK little free Library

Over the course of January, twenty-two students in grades 1st-4th worked to design and build their own a
Little Free Library. The idea originated from the group brainstorming how they could incorporate the Pilot Knob slogan, 'Do great work and read, read, read,' into an outdoor learning area of the school property. Students researched other free libraries, then designed their own. The final design was developed by combining students' ideas. Students then practiced their measuring skills to help draw blueprints, build a small model, and prepare the materials for the final product. They then used tools to cut, build/assemble, and paint the little free library. The final product will be installed on our property this summer after the parking lot construction is completed.
